Remembering Na Lydia Yenban Swife Tanwani

This site was created in memory of our
Na Lydia Yenban Swife Tanwani.
Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Ps 116:15 – Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His faithful servants.

Story

Born in 1902 in Cameroon

A full life, punctuated by a brief illness and a peaceful passing surrounded by
family, is the simplicity with which she lived and died. Na Lydia - our mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend has gone to be with the LORD.

2nd Cor 5:8: We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from
the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Born in 1902  in Nseh Nso in the Northwest Province of Cameroon to Saiyag and Fongai Ngwang. Lydia was the 4th of 4 children.
1st of 4 wives, to late
Ba Fritz Tanwani of Bali Nyonga. Mother to 9 children, 21 grand children and 43 great-grand children (and counting). She is survived by an army of family and friends..

Na (as she was lovingly called) was a professed servant to Jesus Christ.
Elder in her church, and servant in the
Cameroonian Women’s Fellowship (CWF).

Passionate about the spiritual growth of children, she spearheaded and served
as an elder through the creation of the Children’s Sunday School at Ntamfoyang Presbyterian Church in Bali.

Na rested with the LORD on Sept. 2, 2021 at the glorious age of 119.
There are no words to describe the legacy she leaves behind and the void
left by her departure.
